Dr. Salmane Ariyoh Amidou has served as coordinator of the National Program for the Fight Against Noncommunicable Diseases in Benin’s Ministry of Health since 2019. He also serves as executive secretary of the Benin NCDI Poverty Commission.

Dr. Amidou’s previous positions have included head of health promotion at the National Program for the Fight Against Noncommunicable Diseases and regional coordinator for the Borgou and Alibori departments of Benin for the National Program for the Fight against AIDS.

Dr. Amidou earned his doctorate in epidemiology from the Université de Limoges in France and his medical degree from the Université d'Abomey-Calavi in Benin.
