Santigie Sesay, MD, retired from his position as director of noncommunicable diseases and mental health in Sierra Leone’s Ministry of Health and Sanitation in 2025. He has also served as director of reproductive and child health for the Ministry.

Dr. Sesay earned his medical degree from Tashkent State Medical University in Uzbekistan. He serves as a co-chair of the Sierra Leone NCDI Poverty Commission.
