Dr. Yogesh Jain is a public health physician based in Chhattisgarh State in central India. He has been primarily involved in primary health care through founding and running community health programs in rural Chhattisgarh, including the nonprofit organization Sangwari (the People’s Association for Equity and Health).

Dr. Jain has been involved in understanding the political economy of illnesses and addressing technical and political issues that determine the health care for the rural poor through clinical care, observational research studies, training, and direct political work based on lived experience.

Dr. Jain earned his medical degree, with a specialization in pediatrics, from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi.
